PALMDALE - Baha'is in the Antelope Valley will gather to pray at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at an area residence in solidarity with members of their faith imprisoned in Iran.
They are calling for the release of seven Baha'is now in Iranian jails for working for their religion, Baha'i officials said.
They were arrested in spring 2008 and held in Evin prison in Tehran for nearly two years before their trials. In August, each defendant was sentenced to 20 years in prison, a term later reduced to 10 years.
